Weymouth, UK --- Skip Lissiman is the Event Competition Manager for the 2011 ISAF World Sailing Championships to be held in Perth, Australia in December. Whilst attending the Weymouth and Portland International Regatta he explained the excitement surrounding the Worlds and the progress of the preparations.

What is the 2011 ISAF World Sailing Championships?

Being held in picturesque Fremantle in the city of Perth, Western Australia the 2011 ISAF Sailing World Championships commence on December 3rd and run until the 18th.

The ISAF Sailing World Championships are held every four years. The last event was held in Cascais, Portugal, in 2007.

In announcing the decision, ISAF said that Fremantle’s existing infrastructure, good sailing conditions and venue facilities placed Perth ahead of other bidding cities.
