Volleyball Team Australia lost to Team Canada in front of nine hundred spectators at the State Volleyball Centre in Dandenong Victoria. In the final match of the series the Australians appeared to be a little “flat” as Canada levelled the score at two matches all. |

One day after Chinese women upset the U.S. for their country's first FIVB gold medal since 2008, Chinese men upset the U.S. for their country's first-ever men's FIVB World Tour title.
The 13th seed at the FIVB Grand Slam in Moscow, Wu Penggen and Xu Linyin knocked off top-seeded Americans Todd Rogers and Phil Dalhausser in the gold-medal match Monday (21-17, 17-21, 17-15). It marks their first win over Rogers and Dalhausser in six tries, and their first victory in an FIVB final in seven attempts. Wu and Xu are the only Chinese men's team to ever win an FIVB medal. |

When John Hyden and Sean Scott won an epic three-set semifinal match over Jake Gibb and Sean Rosenthal on Sunday at the AVP Huntington Beach Open, it marked the first time the top two men's seeds would meet in a final this season. The top two women's teams also squared off Sunday afternoon for the first time this year in a final. |
