| Hoff Gets Her Groove Back |

It looks like Katie Hoff might have rediscovered her groove in the water.
First there were the 2008 Beijing Olympics, where Hoff earned a silver and two bronze medals in the six (five individual) events in which she was entered. Her performance in China was labeled as a disappointment by many, including Hoff herself. The U.S. swimmer took some time off after that, did not qualify for the 2009 World Championships and subsequently made a coaching switch. |

| Mixed Performance for Phelps in Paris |

Michael Phelps says he needs to train harder after a weekend of mixed results at the Paris Open.
The 14-time Olympic gold medalist won two races in Paris, including Sunday's 200-meter medley, but struggled in freestyle events and lost two finals. |

| Huegill's Great Form Continues |

Geoff Huegill continued his dominance of the men’s 50m butterfly at the Mare Nostrum series in Barcelona overnight, this time touching out NSWIS training partner Andrew Lautersteinfor his second gold medal in a week.
The 31-year-old dual Olympian from Sydney and Athens hit the wall in 23.91, just 0.80 of a second outside of his personal best, with Lauterstein finishing in 24.08 from South African and fellow Commonwealth Games competitor Roland Schoeman (24.13). |

| USA to Host 2010 Pan-Pacs |

USA Swimming will host the 2010 Mutual of Omaha Pan Pacific Championships in Irvine, Calif., August 18-22. This is the first time that the U.S. has hosted an International meet since Short Course World Championships in 2004 in Indianapolis.
The event is expected to include Olympians as well as top swimmers from Japan, Australia, Canada, the USA, and more than 20 other countries. |

| Jones Sets Sights on London |

Australia's multiple Olympic medalist Leisel Jones has decided to swim at a fourth Olympics in London in 2012.
The 24-year-old, one of the greatest female breaststrokers of all time, flirted with retirement after the 2008 Beijing Olympics but returned rejuvenated last year after a sabbatical. "I have made the decision to go ahead and not (have) one foot in and one foot out the door," Jones told Australian Associated Press (AAP). |
